RESCHEDULED 2020.10.17: 2020.10.07 - Event Series and Zoom Embed Updates
Hello Everyone!
We have another great update to share with you today regarding your Virtual Y website with Y Cloud. We have pulled in new features from the Open Y team that will further enhance your site with us. The features outlined below will be installed on October 7, 2020.
New Features
Today’s update will include features from Open Y 8.2.6.2 and Virtual Y 0.15. Highlights from these updates include:
- Bug Fix: Event series (live streaming & meetings) will no longer become stuck loading content when the body of the event is blank.
- Event series (Live Streams & Virtual Meetings) have more flexible recurrence options:
- Events can be quarter of an hour (every 15 minutes).
- Events can begin as early as 4 AM.
- Virtual Meetings with Zoom links will now behave more predictably and prompt users to open the meeting when they are ready.
Additionally, we have some Y Cloud specific updates:
- Permissions updates:
- Site Owners, Editors, and Contributors will now have access to quick edit options.
- Editors and Contributors were previously not able to edit event series. They will now.
- Site Owners will have access to add URL redirects.
- Feature: The admin interface of Y Cloud sites will have a message directing site owners to support information.
- Text Editor: Font color, background color, Font picker, Font size buttons have been removed from the WYSIWYG editor as they can adversely affect content display.
Outage Notice
Beginning October 7, 2020 7 PM CDT we will be performing rolling updates to Virtual Y sites. Sites will be updated over time, completing early morning, October 8th.
There may be a brief interruption to your site lasting no longer than a few minutes. If you experience any lasting issues, please let us know!
