2021.03.17 - Universal Application Updates

Good Morning! I hope you are doing well. I wanted to provide an update on the YMCA Universal App. This email is being sent to the leaders and points of contact of the Ys who have expressed interested in the YMCA Universal App.

Due to some unexpected developments, we are continuing the development of the YMCA Universal App with a different vendor. This has changed our timelines a little. We are hoping to have the minimum viable product (MVP) in the app store within 3 to 4 months or sooner. 

We are aware that you have been anxiously waiting to start using the YMCA Universal App. While this is a setback in our timing to launch, we are committed to being transparent with you and earn your trust as we go in this journey. We will provide additional communications on the App as our development activities proceeds. 

A couple of things to look forward to: 

  • We are planning to host a webinar at the optimum time with the details. 
  • In addition, we will be asking the Y’s that would like to be part of our user group to provide inputs to the App.

We appreciate your support, understanding and patience in this matter. 

If you have expressed interested in the Virtual Y and/or Open Y on the Y Cloud, the activities are proceeding as planned with no impacts.
