2021.06.01- Y Cloud Update

I hope you and your dear ones are doing well. June is already here and time is flying by this year. It has been great to meet several of you virtually and continue to work together. Our team appreciates your partnership and collaboration in all the things we do. I am humbled to be part of a great cause and seeing the positive impact YMCAs have throughout the nation.

The purpose of this email is to give you a quick update on the latest on goings of our Y Cloud digital products. June is going to be an exciting month with several activities as given below. This email is being sent to the leaders and the points of contact of the YMCAs who have expressed interest in the Y Cloud. 

Y Cloud: As of this writing, we have 225 YMCA associations (968 YMCA branches) signed up to use one or more of our digital products: Virtual Y, YMCA Universal App, Open Y.                           

Virtual Y: We have 176 YMCA associations (726 Y branches) signed up for the Virtual Y. Over 90 Ys are actively launching content in the Virtual Y. We see significant usage of this product. Collectively, there are hundreds of on-demand content uploaded every week for our members. A huge thank you to all of you who contribute content and make it an effective resource for your members.  

Open Y: We have 143 YMCA associations (627 Y branches) signed up for the Open Y software-as-a-service offering. We are working with over 15 Ys to launch their digital website in the upcoming weeks. 

YMCA Universal App: We have 205 YMCA associations (860 Y branches) signed up for the YMCA Universal App. I had communicated previously about a reset we had to do in our mobile app development activities.                                                                                                                          In the past few weeks, we have created the mobile app as a minimum viable product (MVP) and are gearing up to launch in June. A meeting invite has been sent to the YMCAs who have expressed interested in being part of the App User Group to help shape the future of the app for Thursday June 10th at 1 pm CT.                                                                                                                                       If you would like to be part of the App User Group, please let me know so that we can send you the meeting invite.  

Y Content Hub: The Y Content Hub is an exciting new digital product that we have been developing based on the feedback from the YMCAs using Virtual Y. We have been working on it for the past few months and are now getting ready to launch. The Y Content Hub is a platform to share content with a lot of self-service features built into it. Ys will be able to contribute and consume content using self-service tools. This will also enhance the member experience significantly over time through curated content delivery.                                                                                                                           We are hosting a webinar on Monday June 14th at 1 pm CT to launch the Y Content Hub. The point-of-contacts from all the Ys using the Virtual Y have been invited. We will share on topics including what is the Content Hub, who can use it and how to use it.
